Shaped in clay and tempered by fire, this jar carries the unpredictable beauty of wood firing: ash, flame, and time etched directly into its surface. Each piece emerges from the kiln with its own map of marks, shaped by where it sat in the flames and how the wood burned around it.
A hand-foraged wood handle from the Eno River, lashed on with waxed linen, gives the jar an earthbound, gathered feel, as if it wandered in from the forest floor rather than a studio.
